Leaderboard challenge is fun and allows you to challenge any other drivers ghost, which helps you improve a lot. There isn't much AI at the moment, but you can do a track test with 6 AI-drivers and supposedly they already use the "Adaptive AI" mode which does what it says, it adapts the AIs performance to yours. You will hear the car all the way round the track, it's really impressive. The sound is great, just watch a replay, switch to a fixed camera and turn up the volume. Graphics are decent but personally I would have wished for a bigger improvement compared to RACE07, it doesn't look as much better as I expected. For me physics are good, better than in previous Simbin titles. If you are using Get Real mode adjust the cars setup, it's up to you how your car behaves. This is now a superb game that deserves a look from anyone interested in high quality motorsports simulation. There is also now, 7+ years on, a vast amount of paid tracks (50+) and cars (approaching 150) all of which are outstandingly good. There is now a very good genuinely 'free to play' base game with a good (but of course small) collection of cars and tracks. The graphics are a little bit dated but the racing itself, the AI, the physics, the FFB and the sound (wow!) are very good indeed and, more importantly, always being improved with regular updates. Over the years Raceroom has become by far my favourite racing sim and is now among the leading simulations of motorsport.
